چکیده

The inverse gas chromatography, (IGC), method has been used extensively to study the structure of polymers, the interactions of various liquids and gases with polymeric materials, and polymer-polymer miscibility. The method is simple, fast and economical and provides valuable thermodynamic information for characterization of polymeric materials1−6. In this study, we examined the interactions of poly [2-(3-phenyl-3-methylcyclobutyl)-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-methacrylic acid] (PPCHEMA-co-MA) with solvents and the solubility parameters of PPCHEMA-co-MA by using IGC in the temperature range 150-180◦C. The probe specific retention volumes, Vg◦, corrected to 0◦C were calculated from the standard chromatographic relation

The expression of sonic hedgehog in diabetic wounds following treatment with poly(methacrylic acid-co-methyl methacrylate) beads.

The expression of native sonic hedgehog (Shh) was significantly increased in poly(methacrylic acid-co-methyl methacrylate) bead (MAA) treated wounds at day 4 compared to both poly(methyl methacrylate) bead (PMMA) treated and untreated wounds in diabetic db/db mice. MAA beads also increased the expression of the Shh transcription factor Gli3 at day 4. Previously, topical application of MAA beads...

Low-flow-resistance methacrylate-based polymer monolithic column prepared by low-conversion ultraviolet photopolymerization at low temperature.

A low-conversion poly(butyl methacrylate-co-ethylene dimethacrylate)-based polymer monolithic column was prepared by ultraviolet (UV) irradiation for a short time at a low temperature (-15°C). By UV irradiation for 2 min, the monolithic column exhibited a high permeability of 5.6 × 10(-13) m(2) and a high column efficiency of over 100000 plates m(-1). At this polymerization time, the conversi...

Amphiphilic polysilane-methacrylate block copolymers — Formation and interesting properties —

Several polysilane block copolymers have been prepared by the newly developed method, anionic polymerization of masked disilenes. Especially amphiphilic block copolymers of poly(1,1-dimethyl-2,2-dihexyldisilene) and poly methacrylate are focused. Poly(1,1-dimethyl-2,2-dihexyldisilene)-b-poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PMHS-b-PHEMA) is the first example of the amphiphilic polysilane copolymer...
